This Act is the Modern Slavery Act . This Act comes into force 6 months after Royal assent. The purpose of this Act is to establish a statutory framework that— reduces the risk of modern slavery incidents occurring by requiring reporting entities (as that term is defined in ) to report on their actions to identify, prevent, mitigate, and remediate modern slavery incidents occurring within their operations and supply chains, thereby encouraging reporting entities to undertake due diligence; and increases public awareness and support for victims of modern slavery.
