This Act is the Canterbury Earthquakes Insurance Tribunal Act . , to , , and and and come into force on the day that is 28 days after the date of Royal assent. The rest of this Act comes into force on the day after the date of Royal assent. This Act comes into force on the later of— 10 June 2019; and the day after the date of Royal assent. The purpose of this Act is to provide fair, speedy, flexible, and cost-effective services for resolving disputes about insurance claims for physical loss or damage to residential buildings, property, and land arising from the Canterbury earthquakes.
