This Act is the Local Government (Auckland Council) Amendment Act . come into force on 1 November 2010. The rest of this Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. amends the Local Government (Auckland Council) Act 2009. The purpose of this is to resolve further matters relating to the reorganisation of local government in Auckland. To this end, this amends the principal Act by adding provisions to— provide further details of the relationship between the Council's governing body and its local boards; and establish arrangements for the management of transport and water supply and wastewater services for Auckland; and provide for the development of a spatial plan for Auckland; and establish a board to promote issues of significance for mana whenua g
