This Act is the Misuse of Drugs (Medicinal Cannabis) Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Act amends the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975. The purpose of this Act is to— allow people to be registered as users of cannabis for medical purposes: allow registered users or a designated agent to cultivate and possess a small amount of cannabis for the registered user.
