This Act is the Our Work Our Future Act . This Act comes into force on the day that is 3 months after the date on which it receives Royal assent. The Principles of Government Procurement and the Government Rules of Sourcing must provide that, in addition to current considerations,— Government organisations awarding contracts must choose the winning bid based on its ability to create jobs in New Zealand; and when Government organisations plan a procurement process, it must be designed so that companies focused on creating jobs in New Zealand have a fair chance of winning. The Minister of Finance and the Minister of State Services are responsible for ensuring is implemented.
