This Act is the Marine Reserves (Consultation with Stakeholders) Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Act amends the Marine Reserves Act 1971. The purpose of this Act is to ensure early consultation in the preparation of any application for the declaration of a marine reserve, for the purposes of promoting wide community support for such an application.
