This Act is the Local Government (Port Companies Accountability) Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Act amends the Local Government Act 2002 (the ). After section 74, insert: Sections 59, 60A and 74 apply, with any necessary modifications, to a port company as if it were a council-controlled organisation. In this section, means a port company or subsidiary of a port company within the meaning of the Port Companies Act 1988. This section amends the Port Companies Act 1988. Repeal section 6(4).
