This Act is the Electricity (Continuance of Supply) Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the date that is 6 months after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. This Act amends the Electricity Act 1992. Section 62 is repealed and the following sections are substituted: The purpose of this section is to ensure that line function services continue to be supplied to old points of supply unless or until electricity is supplied to them by alternative means.
