This Act is the Land Transport (Vehicle User Safety) Amendment Act . This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. The purpose of this Act is to provide for greater safety of road users by prohibiting the washing of vehicles in a manner that may be unsafe, that may intimidate or cause a nuisance to any person, or may cause an obstruction to vehicles. This section amends the Land Transport Act 1998. After section 153(d), insert: regulate or prohibit road user behaviour that poses a safety hazard, threat of a safety hazard, or nuisance to any other road user. This section amends the Land Transport (Road User) Rule 2004. After clause 11.19, insert: A road user must not use a road to wash or offer to wash a vehicle, or any part thereof, in a manner
